The Château de Siran is a former Languedoc bastide (fortified town) dating from the 16th century and has been fully renovated and turned into a Logis hotel graded ‘3-chimneys’ (roughly equivalent to 3-stars). You’ll love the authentic character of this attractive residence, with its vaulted rooms, its striking Renaissance staircase and its 11 bedrooms, every one tasteful and individual in style.

Use this getaway break to explore Minervois, part of Cathar country and one of the most famous southern wine-growing areas, renowned for its top-class crus and its long history of viticulture. You can spend an hour and a half, with a professional, learning about the appellations, the grape varieties and the influence of the climate.
