This site museum is one of the rare examples in France of a Gallo-Roman villa presented "in situ". The history of the farmstead and how it functioned is shown in two rooms where archaeological objects and models are on display. The visit of the archaeological site continues under the cover of the building constructed for its protection. Here you can see the multi-coloured mosaics which embellished the 5th century AD dwelling. The site is fully representative of these large “villae” (farmsteads) that were all over the countryside of the Roman Empire.
