Situated between the Pont du Diable and the St Guilhem le Désert site, Clamouse is one of the area's finest caves.
Enjoy a day of discovery and relaxation in the heart of the Hérault river gorges in southern France, just half an hour from the city of Montpellier and 3 km from Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert.
Listed as a scientific and picturesque site, the cave is remarkable for the sheer diversity of its concretions.

A "must-see" site mentioned by the Michelin guide, France's leading tourist guidebook.
Discovered in 1945 and listed as a "scientific and picturesque site" by the French ministry of ecology, the diversity of its calcite and aragonite concretions makes this a truly outstanding site.
Its series of galleries are particularly interesting for the behaviour of the underground waterways that surge through here during floods, constantly adding to its beauty.
Its fine, fistulous and eccentric crystallizations create a fairy tale setting with their extraordinary shapes. This "Cathedral of Time" is further enhanced by a sound and light show.
The tour begins with the screening of a film. Children will have an opportunity to discover, understand and marvel at this site during a number of specially organised programmes including school holiday tours or special birthday trips.
Nearby: the Pont du Diable (Devil's Bridge) and the plunge pools in the Hérault river. The bridge is one of the oldest mediaeval bridges in France. Enjoy the excellent view from a specially laid out site alongside the road.
