Take your holidays under the southern sun in winter, at Christmas or at the end of the year. Allow yourself to be carried away by the South of France.
Experience the Mediterranean art of living while discovering the region's unique light and climate.
Winter in the Hérault area is a time of carnivals, festivals, exhibitions, and visits to the region's towns or museums. The landscape along the coast is truly unique here, including the port of Sète, or the pyramids of the Grande Motte seaside resort.

In winter, visitors can enjoy the Christmas markets in the small seaside villages or in the vast Place de la Comédie in Montpellier. Savour the simple pleasure of taking your last or first dip of the year.
Walk along the beaches on January 1 when the weather is fine. Wander through the streets of Sète, stroll through the covered markets or watch the sales at the fish market.
Visit an exhibition in Lodève or organise a family visit to the brand-new Scénovision (a scenographic museum) in Pézenas.
Exploring the banks of the Thau Basin is a pleasure in its own right.
You can also watch as an animal totem is paraded, such as the
"Gignac donkey" or the "Roujan hedgehog". Each village celebrates its own symbolic animal totem. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the marvellous legends and traditions of this region while you enjoy the tasty "oreillettes" (local fritters).
Why not join in the fun at a festival to celebrate typical local products such as the chestnut in Olargues, the mimosa in Roquebrun or the pig in Saint Pons de Thomières.
