L’Hérault au printemps

Discover nature at its best, the garrigue (Mediterranean scrubland), the vineyards and the Mediterranean gardens (also known as "dry gardens") including the Roquebrun Gardens and the botanical gardens in Montpellier.
Enjoy a holiday on the move in a canoe, by mountain bike alongside a lake, along the hiking trails, on the climbing faces or during a walk through the woods.
Take part in village activities including bric-a-brac sales, or flea markets. Applaud along as a family during the local theatre festivals such as "Saperlipopette, voilà Enfantillages" for example, or among friends at the various performances of the Printemps des Comédiens or Montpellier Danse events.
Take full advantage of the sea, as a couple. While away the hours on the café terraces, get out those windsurfing boards or relax on the sands at Aresquiers, stroll along the corniche at Sète and watch the migratory birds and pink flamingos alongside the lakes.
Visit the attractive village of St Jean de Buèges, major buildings such as the Abbey of Valmagne, and the "must see" sites of Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert and the Cathedral of Maguelone.
Experience the simple pleasure of visiting the colourful markets, or taste the oysters and mussels washed down with dry white wine. Don't forget to try the delicious "petits pâtés" in Pézenas along with the day's first apéritif out in the sun.
