Description

With 1,000 drawings and 5,000 prints, the Musée Atger houses a rich and varied collection in the historic buildings of the Faculty of Medicine, covering every subject: academies of art, mythological scenes, landscapes, etc. Drawings from the French School are most represented: Fragonard, Oudry, Philippe de Champaigne are shown alongside many Southern artists (Sébastien Bourdon, Charles Natoire). There are outstanding works from the Italian School (Guercino, the Carraches, Titian, Tiepolo). Finally, the Northern School is represented by Dutch and Flemish artists, such as Van Dyck and Rubens. The 500 drawings on display enable visitors to enjoy exceptional contact with the works.
